Football betting

Football is the biggest sport on PariPulse by a distance, with more than two thousand events listed on a typical day. Coverage runs from Nigerian football and the top five European leagues to the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, domestic cups, women's football and Asian club competitions such as the AFC Champions League Two.

Top football leagues

  • England: Premier League and the League Cup
  • Spain, Italy, Germany, France: La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1

  • Americas: Brasileirão Série A and MLS

Football markets

Every match carries the match result (1X2), double chance, goal totals and handicaps, with many more markets inside the match page. Matches can also be combined into accumulators, and long-term bets cover league winners and top scorers. The betting guide explains each market.

Reading football odds

Short odds mean the bookmaker rates an outcome as likely. A home win at 1.23 is a strong favourite; a draw at 6.65 and an away win at 11.00 are long shots. Dividing 1 by the odds gives a rough implied probability: 1 ÷ 1.23 ≈ 81%, 1 ÷ 11 ≈ 9%. The betting guide explains why the percentages add up to more than 100%.

Things worth checking before a football bet

  • Team news: injuries, suspensions and rotation before European midweek games.
  • Home and away form: many teams play very differently away from home.
  • What's at stake: a side that has already won the league may rest players.
  • Cup vs league: cup ties can go to extra time; check whether a market settles on 90 minutes.

Tennis betting

Tennis runs almost all year, with ATP and WTA tour events and the lower-tier World Tennis tournaments. There's no draw in tennis, so the main market is the match winner, alongside game handicaps (such as +3.5 games), total games and each player's individual total. Tennis is one of the most popular sports for live betting, because odds shift after every break of serve.

Tennis markets explained

MarketWhat you're betting on
Winner (1 or 2)Who wins the match. The X column shows a dash, because tennis has no draw.
Game handicapA player's games won plus or minus the line, for example +3.5.
Total gamesOver (B) or under (U) a line such as 22.5 games in the match.
Individual total (IT1, IT2)Games won by one player, for example over 11.5.

Best-of-three and best-of-five

Most tour matches are best of three sets; men's Grand Slam matches are best of five. Longer matches give the stronger player more time to recover from a slow start, which is why favourites are shorter in five-set matches and why total-games lines run higher.

Basketball betting

The basketball line covers the NBA, WNBA and EuroLeague, plus Basketball 3x3. Basketball markets are points-based: the winner including overtime, point handicaps (for example -4.5), total points for the game and individual team totals (IT1 and IT2).

Why NBA totals are higher than EuroLeague totals

An NBA game lasts 48 minutes (four 12-minute quarters); EuroLeague and WNBA games last 40 minutes (four 10-minute quarters). Fewer minutes means fewer points, so a typical EuroLeague total sits in the 160s to 180s while NBA lines run well above 200. Compare a total with the league's usual scoring, not with another league's.

Overtime counts

Basketball markets on PariPulse are marked "including overtime", so extra periods count towards the winner, handicap and totals. A draw at the end of regulation isn't a result in basketball.

Ice hockey betting

Ice hockey covers the NHL, the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and European leagues. Unlike basketball, a hockey match can end in a draw after regulation time, so 1X2 and double chance markets apply alongside puck handicaps and goal totals.

Regulation time and overtime

A hockey game has three 20-minute periods. If it's level, overtime and possibly a shootout decide the winner. The 1X2 market usually settles on regulation time (three periods), so a game tied 2–2 after 60 minutes is a draw for 1X2 even if one team wins in overtime. Check whether a market includes overtime before you bet.

Cricket betting

Cricket covers international matches, T20 competitions and domestic leagues. Besides the match winner, cricket markets include total runs for a team and in-play props such as whether a wicket falls in a given over.

Cricket formats

FormatLengthBetting notes
T2020 overs per side, about three hoursFast and volatile; popular for live betting
One-Day International50 overs per side, a full dayMore time for the stronger side to show it
TestUp to five daysDraws are possible, so 1X2 has a real X

Volleyball and table tennis

Table tennis is one of the busiest sports on the PariPulse line, with hundreds of short matches a day. Volleyball and beach volleyball are scored by sets and points, with set handicaps and point totals.

American football betting

American football games are listed with the winner, point handicaps (the spread) and total points, plus long-term bets on the season.

Formula 1 and motorsport betting

Formula 1 and other motorsport have race markets and long-term bets on the championship. F1 race weekends also come with a weekly free bet from the F1 Turbo Bet promotion.

Boxing, UFC and combat sports betting

Fight markets cover boxing, UFC, martial arts, Muay Thai, wrestling, pro wrestling and bare-knuckle boxing. The main market is the winner, often joined by method of victory and the round the fight ends in.

Horse and greyhound racing betting

Racing covers horse racing, greyhound racing and trotting. Ante-post markets for the big races, settled when the race is run, are listed among the long-term bets.
